47 2 0 1 9 - 2 0 2 0 2020 WINTER GAMES Winter Games athletes were busy training from fall through winter to learn skills, test endurance, get fit, and most important - to have fun! Special Olympics Delaware athletes were part of the Alpine, Nordic and Snowshoe Ski teams. The season began in November and culminated in a final competition at Seven Springs Resort as part of Special Olympics Pennsylvania's Winter Games on February 9-11. Figure Skaters were scheduled to compete at Special Olympics Pennsylvania's Indoor Winter Games in York, Pa., on March 7-8. Unfortunately, this event was canceled due to safety concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. A very big note of thanks to all the coaches and volunteers who helped our athletes during the entire season!
