35 2 0 1 9 - 2 0 2 0 2019 SCHOOL BASKETBALL SKILLS More than 1,200 Special Olympics Delaware athletes and Unified Partners from schools across the state participated in nine Special Olympics Delaware Basketball Skills Competitions, including MATP and Young Athletes demonstrations. The Basketball Skills Competitions are offered in the fall in several school districts across the state, providing athletes with an opportunity to compete in the three basic skills of basketball: dribbling, passing and shooting. Select high schools partnered with Special Olympics Delaware as part of the Unified Champion Schools program to become host sites for the Skills events. We thank the student volunteers and the following host schools: Caesar Rodney High School, Middletown High School, McKean High School, Milford High School, Milford Central Academy, Smyrna High School, Sussex Tech High School, and William Penn High School for their involvement in facilitating the skills events. Thanks also to Padua Academy, Sanford School, and the Hockessin PAL Center for facilitating MATP and team skills.
