25 2 0 1 9 - 2 0 2 0 2019 FAMILIES DAY AT THE BEACH On September 21, Special Olympics Delaware hosted the annual Families Day at the Beach at Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes. Started by Janie Miller and family as an opportunity for athletes, families and friends to gather and enjoy a day of fun and fellowship, the event celebrated its 28th anniversary in 2019. Special Olympics athletes took part in a fishing tournament sponsored by the Delaware Mobile Surf Fishermen Association and supported by the following volunteer groups: Lighthouse View Bait and Tackle, Rehoboth Beach Kiwanis Club, Rising Sun Masonic Lodge #4, and the Rehoboth Beach Lions Club.
