2021 SCL AWARDS I 25 TRENT REZNOR & ATTICUS ROSS – "(IF ONLY YOU COULD) SAVE ME" MANK Trent Reznor formed Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Nine Inch Nails (NIN) in Ohio in 1988 and, over the next 30 years, sold more than 30 million records worldwide and won two Grammy Awards. In 2008, Reznor teamed with Atticus Ross, his now-partner in NIN, and began a prolific career composing music for film. Their first project, David Fincher's The Social Network, earned the pair an Oscar and a Golden Globe. Reznor and Ross continue to score a diverse array of film and television projects— including the acclaimed Watchmen series for HBO, which earned the duo an Emmy for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series. Their genre-spanning slate of recent scores includes Mank and Disney and Pixar's film Soul. The team's credits also include the films Gone Girl, Patriots Day, Bird Box, and Mid90s, as well as the Ken Burns docuseries The Vietnam War. Reznor and Ross were inaugural SCL Award nominees for their work on Watchmen. RICKARD GÖRANSSON – "HUSAVIK" EUROVISION SONG CONTEST: THE STORY OF FIRE SAGA Signed to Max Martin's MxM Music, songwriter, producer, and instrumentalist Rickard Göransson has written and produced songs for Ariana Grande ("God Is a Woman"), Jessie J ("Bang Bang," featuring Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj), Charlie Puth ("Empty Cups"), Jeremy Zucker ("not ur friend"), and Marc E. Bassy ("Love Her Too," feat. G-Eazy), among others. He recently co-wrote and produced the song "Husavik" for the Netflix movie Eurovision, featuring Will Ferrell. "Husavik" is shortlisted for a 2021 Academy Award in the Best Original Song category and has also been nominated for Best Song at the 26th Critics' Choice Awards. SONG FOR VISUAL MEDIA
