I began as a site representative, and was soon nominated to and won local board election. In 2020 I was elected for a 2-year term as my local president and was re-elected in 2022. roughout this time, I have served as a delegate at every DA (yes, even the virtual ones), attended the NEA RA as a local and regionally elected delegate, served on many AEA endorsement interview teams for candidates seeking AEA's endorsement, served as local captain for signature gathering for Invest in Ed and tax referendum campaigns, and also served a year as a Region 2 Director. During my time as e SEA President, we as a local won back our right to collectively bargain, which had been stripped away by a previous superintendent and governing board. Not only did we win this right for our unit, we cemented into governing board policy sole representation for all of our employee associations. I believe that the right to a high quality education is the greatest and most important right that anyone is entitled to in this state. Furthermore, I believe that it is through the labor of our teachers, counselors, related service providers, classroom instructional staff, office clerks, cafeteria workers, bus drivers, safety staff and everyone in between that this right is realized. 2024 Board of Directors Candidates
