I am a special education teacher in Flowing Wells and I am seeking a second term as Region 13 Director. roughout my first term our region has seen significant wins and that is thanks to the collaborative effort of our members throughout southern Arizona. As your director I intend to continue bringing every voice to the table; both certified and ESP. As a union leader, and educator I understand the importance of relationships and collaboration. I will continue the work to build strong relationships between our locals and the broader community to provide opportunities for our region to be a powerhouse at the state level. During my first term I have been able to grow in my union leadership role through multiple different conferences, workshops, and cadres including the NEA Leaders for Just Schools program, See Educa - tors Run, Minority Leaders Training, and Leader- ship Summit. I have had the pleasure to co-chair the Racial and Social Justice committee for the past two years, along with holding the position of Vice-Chair for the Ethnic Minority Caucus.
