Both passionate about the magic of their local bubbly wines, they created Perrier-Jouët Champagne in 1811 in Épernay on the iconic Avenue de Champagne. Since then, the house maintained the lovers' vision and passion: to become the most desirable boutique Champagne house in the world. Each vintage gives birth to a very limited quantity of Champagne always focusing on quality over quantity. In 200 years of history, Perrier-Jouët has had only seven cellar mas - ters. Each one trained by his predecessor, like craftsmen who jealously pass on the secret of their art from father to son. The current Chef de Caves, Hervé Deschamps is the guardian of the house's secrets: a sophisticated and delicate style, perfectly balanced with floral notes, femininity and elegance. Perrier-Jouët's vineyards are located in the heart of the Champagne region in the so called "magic triangle"; Mailly village from the Montagne de Reims, Cramant village from the Côte des Blancs and Dizy village from the Vallée de la Marne, where the terroir produces the best of itself. The house owns 160 acres of vineyards rated 99.2% as Grand Crus with a dominant of Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs which embodies the style of the house. The iconic flower bottle was designed by Emile Gallé, a famous glassmaker and the pioneer of the Art Nouveau movement in France. The beautiful Japanese anemones he painted on the bottles are his interpretation of the style of the house with its feminine floral notes and beautiful elegance. Since then, Art Nouveau has been an entire part of Perrier-Jouët's DNA, and the house continues to infuse beauty in everyday life develop - ing unique partnerships with respected artists who shared the same passion for Art Nouveau.
