GREENSBORO COLISEUM COMPLEX The Greensboro Coliseum Complex was conceived as, and continues to be a multi-building facility to serve the citizens of Greensboro and the surrounding area through a broad range of activities, including athletic events, cultural arts, concerts, theater, and other entertainment, educational activities, fairs, exhibits, and public and private events of all kinds, such as conventions, convocations, trade and consumer shows. The Complex's Special Events Center allows you to create your ultimate event entertainment environment. With 120,000 sq. ft. of fully-equipped floor space, of which 80,000 is column free and has the flexibility to house approximately 650 10' x 10' trade show booths, you can fully extend the limits of your space and creativity. The 4,300-seat theatre set-up is ideal for concerts, trade shows and sporting events. An additional 30,000 sq. ft. of column-free space is also available in the new Pavilion bringing the total exhibit space to 150,000 sq. ft.. The Greensboro Coliseum Complex Special Events Center consists of a 167,000-sq. ft. convention center/exhibit hall/meeting space, totally conditioned and convertible into four separate halls. The Special Events Center is connected to our 23,500 plus-seat Arena by a covered plaza and is located IRVING CONVENTION CENTER Irving, Texas has long benefited from a convenient loca- tion between Dallas and Fort Worth, immediately adjacent to DFW International Airport, and minutes from Love Field. The city is also situated in the middle of the country, within a 3-hour direct flight from most major cities. Location is going to mean even more for meetings late next year, with the debut of the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas. Opening in late 2010, the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas will feature a 50,000-sq. ft., column-free exhibit hall; a 20,000-sq. ft. grand ballroom; and an additional 20,000 sq. ft. in breakout space for 20 rooms. Eight of those 20 rooms combine into an 8,000-sq. ft. junior ballroom. The Irving Convention Center will offer complimentary wireless in the exhibition hall, meeting rooms, ballroom and in public spaces, with other Internet and communication services available at an additional cost. Plus, the exhibit hall features power and data boxes in the floor, with the ceiling structure offering multiple rigging points. The center is managed by SMG Worldwide, with their own SAVOR catering service responsible for all of the build- ing's food and beverage needs. The facility features a busi- ness center, on-site concierge, and a café and terrace on the Mezzanine Level, providing casual indoor and outdoor gath- ering spaces. In addition, two green rooms are at the back of the exhibit hall, and a show manager's office has been estab- lished within the buildings operation's offices, with a view overlooking the show floor. To further add to the amenities of the GICC, plans are underway to build two full-service convention hotels on the GICC campus. The first will be a 403-room Marriott head- quarters hotel, slated to open Summer 2010, and the second will be a 147-room SpringHill Suites hotel, scheduled to open in January 2010. Everything about the facility is both beautiful and state of the art.
