Grand Ballroom, one of the largest in the Midwest. Additionally, the convention center is equipped with 17,400 sq. ft. of ballroom space, designed to comfortably host smaller groups, 31 deluxe breakout rooms with flexibility to accommodate 24 to 4,100, a loading dock with 17 berths and three semi-truck portals that lead directly to exhibi- tion space as well as a full-service banquet kitchen. Beginning Fall 2009, the GICC will become one of the first facilities in the country where event and convention goers will be able to fly into an airport, disembark their plane and arrive at the front door of the facility, all without ever getting in a taxi, bus or shuttle.. The project making this possible is the ATL SkyTrain, a new light rail train current- ly under construction to transport travelers from Hartsfield- Jackson Atlanta International Airport to the airport's new Consolidated Rental Car Agency Complex (CONRAC).
