Deborah Page: I think
what excited me was the
idea of adding things like
events. I think I wanted
there to be an educational
component, but the union
had stepped up quite
nicely there. I remember it
felt like there were a lot of
chefs in the kitchen at the
meetings, but I suppose
that is to be expected
considering what we all do
for a living!
Marylin Bitner:
It was very intense
and looking back, the
takeaway is that the
people in that room
cared so much and were
deeply invested in this
organization. We brought
the passion and integrity—
it was something we
had to do. Lots of strong
personalities with very
strong opinions!
John Grant: You get
25 people together and
you are going to hear 25
ways on how to crack an
egg… But look at what we
did!
Bruce Chudacoff:
As I recall, at the Beverly
Hilton, we had determined
the name LMGA and when
we got into the Board
meetings, hired a graphic
artist to design the logo.
I co-chaired with Kristi
Frankenheimer our first
Philanthropic Committee
Holiday Toy Drive for
homeless children at
downtown L.A.'s Union
Rescue Mission. It was a
neighborhood we often
filmed, and we were able
to give back to the people
who lived there.
