The basic plan complete, Art Director Christine Foley popped it into SketchUp, and the team passed around the model, refi ning our recessed lighting, book matched marble and fl ooring. To meet our construction timelines, the walls were going up while I scouted Bangkok that October. While there, the amazing Thai team, helmed by Art Director Whay Sittirak and coordinator Chat Somprasertsuk, immersed me in high-end hotels, traditional homes and temples, which continued to drive fi nishing details, décor and art choices. It was important to me that the set continue to transport Cassie and the audience, so we brought in elements like the fa pakon ceiling details and the carved screens hiding the dining room. Set decorator Jessica Petruccelli found fantastic dealers stateside to supply fabrics, wallpapers, furnishings and art and that originated in Thailand. The Makara Prince suite wasn't the only set completed from abroad, with Imperial Atlantic's business fi rst cabin up early in our schedule.
