characters and highlight the socioeconomic contrasts in the story. Beyond the thrilling mystery, a major underpinning to the story is how power is accorded to those with wealth and privilege. When the audience first meets Cassie, she's gaining access to the life of the one percent through her job. Day in and day out, she meets billionaires. Cassie's apartment in the city isn't so glamorous. She knows how to put on a good face, but yesterday's mistakes are not far from the surface. Her apartment was shot on location, after a harrowing search with numerous locations falling through until just before shooting. Once in, the design team focused on sources like AptDeco and Chairish to pull together the pop-meets-boho vibe. Her thrifted art and furnishings lean young and spunky, hiding the fact that she's living with one foot out the door. We aimed to show that with a packed bag at the ready, unhung art strewn around and cabinets perpetually empty of sustenance. The location for Unisphere Asset Management continued that tone with an open, all-white office space and vast sunlit atrium. With so much glass, the production was able to play with visual access and reflection to great effect. But beneath the veneer of simplicity is a nefarious organization with disturbing ties to world powers…and questionable taste in rabbit-shaped sculptures. Three cheers for the scenic team, who ran with my napkin sketch for the piece, making a sculpture that could withstand numerous tumbles as Cassie tries to quickly escape. C D E F G
