This Caribbean jewel is located just a small step off the beaten path, which helps to protect Anguilla's character and exclusivity while offering travelers convenience in getting here by air or by sea. From the U.S. East Coast, travelers can leave in the morning and arrive mid-afternoon in time for a swim and to catch the sunset. Approximately 16 miles East End to West End and three miles at its widest point, Anguilla offers one main road running through the center of the island, making it easy to traverse by car in less than a half an hour. Envied for its pure, pristine white sands and wrapped in brilliant turquoise waters, Anguilla boasts well over 33 of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Beach access is public, and beaches are uncrowded. For those planning more intimate meetings or even weddings, Anguilla offers an amazing ambiance and hotel selection that will surely have participants leaving the island having had one of the most memorable experiences of their lives. Offering this island the most meeting space overall, Viceroy Anguilla is situated along more than 3,200 ft. of exclusive Caribbean beachfront, and atop a high coral point separating crystalline Barnes Bay and Meads Bay. The 166 resort rooms, suites, penthouses and villa accommodations feature private sundecks and personal outdoor spaces, marble bathrooms, outdoor showers, full kitchens and customdesigned Sferra bed linens. In addition to an outdoor pool, Viceroy Anguilla provides a private beach, a health club, a spa tub, and a sauna. Viceroy Anguilla is the ultimate setting for once-in-a-lifetime Caribbean meetings, events and island gatherings. Meeting and conference facilities measuring 1,500 sq. ft. include conference rooms, banquet facilities, and meeting rooms for small groups. Perfect for a board meeting or retreat. Also nearby is Barnes Bay. The 29 air-conditioned guestrooms in this resort open to balconies showing off the island's amazing beaches. Down every road there is something to discover: a bit of the islands' past, a new friend, something in nature, or something new. Guided tours are available but the island lends itself to exploration, as it is easy to get around, and a helpful friend is almost always nearby. On the road to Crocus Hill, is the area of town that Anguillians refer to as The Old Valley. Here there are a number of architectural examples from Anguilla's yesteryear. Ebenezer's Methodist Church, Miss Marjorie's House, The Warden's Place, Rose Cottage, and other graceful buildings are a reminder of Anguilla's beautiful past.
