Most of us do not have any clue as to what to do with all our free time over the summer. With kids at home all day, with work being so laid-back, the summer time is when we can take advantage of any opportunity to relax and be entertained. The following Summer Movie Guide gives an overview of what movies are being featured in order to maximize the enjoyment of this summer season. 1. GET HIM TO THE GREEK: JUNE 4. JONAH HILL AND RUSSELL BRAND Sex and rock 'n roll. If you want to see the gritty and no-holds-barred humor that mimics what you have seen in "Superbad" and "Knocked Up" then "Greek" is the comedy event of the summer. So many comedies take the safe, middle-America approach that tilts in favor of charm but loses out on the laughs. "Greek" is sure to be an experience that will both crack you up and completely shock you. The film is about a young music associate who is tasked with tracking down a famous musician and bringing him back to the "Greek Theater" for a performance. The film pretends to be the sequel to "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" but promises to bring a fresh new story. By>>Jon Khoshafian 2. THE A-TEAM: JUNE 11. LIAM NEESON, BRADLEY COOPER, RAMPAGE JACKSON, SHARLTO COPLEY "I pity the fool who misses out on this opportunity to see the revival of a great franchise!" The A-Team was the first major ensemble action drama that had both explosions and a heartbeat. We loved the action and we loved the characters. This summer there will be a chance to revive a great franchise and all signs lead us to believe that it will be successful. The story will center around the A-Team being framed, with the remainder of the film focusing on how to exculpate themselves. Bradley Cooper is white hot in Hollywood, because of "The Hangover," and so is Liam Neeson, because of his recent hit "Taken," so be prepared for Hollywood to have spared no expense in this blockbuster movie. 3. KARATE KID: JUNE 11. JADEN SMITH AND JACKIE CHAN Yes, there was already an attempt to jumpstart this franchise by having a female karate kid, but that failed miserably. So what was the next move? Re-cast and think younger. What makes this Karate Kid so special is because the two leads are already well established. Jackie Chan is martial arts. Anything associated with martial arts in movies has to live up to what Jackie Chan has done. With that incredible talent, we have Jaden Smith playing the student role. Smith is the son of Will Smith and the future looks promising for this charming, charismatic, and tough young talent. As Smith will be training to become a better karate kid, we will also view his coming into his own as an actor. This movie will be a great break from the big explosion blockbusters and will allow us to focus on story and character.
