Awardees will be honored at DSEA's annual Human and Civil Rights Awards Banquet on May 14, 2013 at the Dover Sheraton. This past year we honored Rev. John G. Moore, Sr., youth pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Dover who gives hope to countless young people throughout the state, and who inspires all with his moving Martin Luther King, Jr. speeches; and DSEA/NEA member Jessie Chen, a reading specialist at Lombardy E.S. in Brandywine, who devotes countless hours to help Chinese-American families. ELIGIBILITY Any individual may be nominated for this award. There shall be no time limit placed upon the period within which specific accomplish- ments were made. The criteria for selecting the award winner, however, demands that such contributions be of sufficient quality and importance as to cause the award to be viewed with respect and high esteem. (Previous HCR Award winners are excluded.)
