Zaxcom has three products of interest. The DCiRX, a direct conversion UHF receiver/recorder with ZaxNet. You can receive two channels of RF, connect a local hardwired mic, and record it all to SD card with three ISO's and a mix track. USB-C outputs with timecode to a phone or other device, and it runs on three AA batteries. It has discrete timecode out and headphone jacks, plus a balanced TA5 for camera feeds… Building on their new direct conversion design is the QRX400, featuring two or four channels of reception (depending on diversity settings), ZaxNet control, and internal recording in the traditional QRX form factor. It's due out later this year… And finally, the ZRC, a portable 2.4 GHz ZaxNet controller and timecode source. Coming Q4. Q5X has added major runtime options with a series of plug-on rechargeable batteries for their Incognito series of transmitters. They have a charging sled that holds several batteries with batteries delivering runtimes into the dozens of hours. Viviana has a couple of impressive new products. First, their Pebble antenna, a small wide-field flat panel antenna that connects via SMA, which greatly reduces or eliminates body shadowing of your belt pack signal. Plus, their current elastic belts have a pocket made just for the Pebble… Next, what may be their most impressive piece of kit yet, the Cloud. An IP interface for mirroring your files directly to a cloud server (e.g., Frame.io, Dropbox, Google Cloud) or secure client storage environment. Designed by Ambient, the unit is tightly integrated with Sound Devices 8-Series recorders, but will accept SD cards and USB-C. No more waiting all day long for those pesky rushes, they come at you continuously. 128GB internal SSD, it converts ZAX files to WAV with timecode and creates MP3 files with timecode from BWF. Their free app lets you upload to one server and copy files. The advanced (affordable subscription) does it all, including merging mono files into poly files. Internal battery, TA4, or USB-C. Deity has a new, tiny four input six-channel mixer recorder, the PR-4. It features two balanced XLR inputs with phantom and two unbalanced inputs via 3.5mm jack. Good for radios.
