76 S U M M E R 2 0 2 6 I C A S Q U A R T E R L Y Orca has some useful add-ons to their solid line of sound bags including the OR-152 antenna mounting brackets, which mount securely to most models with 1/4" and 3/8" threads and a cold shoe on each bracket. Coming soon is the OR-153, a set of dual-sided threaded connectors for attaching antennas or other accessories. I asked the folks at Neutrik to hook me up, and they showed me their new 8+2 TOP (Total Outdoor Protection) connectors, great for CAT5e performance (plus 16A of power at 50V) or your favorite analog multipair application. Wisycom is always making progress and showed off a couple of their latest creations. The MPR60 wideband EIM/IFB diversity receiver can receive up to three mono IFB channels or stereo IEM feed on a single 200 kHz carrier. Pair it with the MTK982 wideband transmitter, which can create six audio channels per carrier. Four bands of operation, from 470 MHz to 1,260 MHz. Pretty cool... Then there's the portable PFL-R2 and PFL-T2 diversity RF over fiber boxes for two diversity RF channels. Remote control and Gigabit Ethernet are part of the package, and it will run on mains, a DC supply, or V-Lock battery. Can you hear me now? They also are featuring the MATF, a new 8-zone diversity RF distribution manager using optical or copper inputs. It works from 170 MHz to 1,260 MHz. You can control gain and filtering of Wisy smart antennas through coax. Adding a new pro-centric option for their handheld recorders and the F3, Zoom has introduced a timecode module, the TCA-1. Plug it in, jam it, and it's accurate to 0.5 seconds over 24 hours. Audio Technica has a miniature stereo microphone, the BP350ST-UB. It can be fixed in a boundary mount or gooseneck for car mounts, plants, etc. The preamp has switchable XY wide, narrow, and M/S modes. NEUTRIK 8+2 WISYCOM MKT982 ORCA OR-153
