12 S U M M E R 2 0 2 6 I C A S Q U A R T E R L Y ANNOUNCEMENTS An update from our friends at the Entertainment Industry Professionals Mentoring Alliance (EIPMA). EIPMA has been very busy providing opportunities and exposure to aspiring professionals. Thank you to all the professionals, studios, and facilities who help provide these opportunities. Here is a short recap of just a few of the events we've held over the past year. On May 1, 2025, EIPMA & Universal Post coordinated with Tomorrow's Talent and hosted a tour of the post facilities at NBCUniversal Studios Post, including a mix stage, ADR stage, Foley stage, and coloring facilities for high school students from San Bernardino and Palm Springs School Districts. Bridging the Gap between aspiring professionals and industry experts On February 28, 2026, EIPMA in partnership with ACE, CAS, and MPSE, hosted its annual Speed Mentoring event for the Student Award nominees from each of these organizations. Mentors and students connect via Zoom video conferencing technology, where individual mentees engaged with several mentors on a rotating basis for short, one-on-one conversations about employment opportunities and career strategies. Everyone who has participated in Speed Mentoring has really loved it. We have connected with students worldwide and this event had students from China, the Netherlands, England, and across the USA. On May 27, 2025, El Camino High School and EIPMA hosted "Careers in Entertainment Sound & Film." Moderated by Karol Urban CAS MPSE, the panel included producer Agatha Warren, picture editor Dorian Harris ACE, and sound designer/re-recording mixer Tony Lamberti CAS. The panel, which was also livestreamed, had a live turnout of more than 200 students. Industry professionals shared their career journeys, roles in the filmmaking process, and the diverse opportunities in audio production, video production, and post-production. On May 18, 2026, El Camino High School and EIPMA hosted a livestream webinar "Foley for Film & Television." Sanaa Kelly from Reel Foley showed the students how Foley is programed, recorded, and edited live on stage. Our goal is to engage these high school students into this process. Thank you to our incredible EIPMA Board and Advisory Council for doing so much to make a difference through informing, advising, mentoring, AND representing YOU, our member organizations in this endeavor. Thank you to CAS, MPSE, VFF, and Avid for their generous donations supporting our mission, and to Warner Bros. Post Production Creative Services and Universal Studio Post for their past event sponsorships. And MANY THANKS to YOU for your support and commitment to EIPMA. We survive through your donations, so please help us and continue your support of our industry's future talent.
