On October 21, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at EVS Studios in Glendale,
CA, the Cinema Audio Society and Motion Picture Sound Editors hosted The
Sounding Board v3.0.
The co-produced event aimed to unite soundies
from multiple disciplines and create a forum
for information exchange and networking. In
addition to a networking lunch and raffle, the
day featured three main events: the panel
"Mixers! Mixers! Mixers!" the annual "Parade
of Carts and Bags," and the panel "Creature
Feature."
Moderating the events was Timothy Muirhead,
host of the excellent Tonebenders Podcast.
The day kicked off with CAS Events Committee
Co-chair Sara Glaser CAS and MPSE President
Mark Lanza providing opening remarks.
