Troll
THE COVENANT
Amazon/MGM
A life debt between a soldier and an interpreter
plays out on the arid sands of Afghanistan,
with Spain standing in for the Middle Eastern
country. An Afghan mine, dam and desert
region are artfully reproduced in the coastal
province of Alicante, while action sequences
were filmed at Zaragoza Air Base. Also
captured on film are Zaragoza City Hall, the
Cathedral of San Salvador, the Aljafería Palace
and the San Pablo Church.
TROLL
Netflix
Norwegian landmarks grounded in traditional
troll mythology center this fantasy thriller.
The story follows the mountain-dwelling
monster to real-life locations on his destructive
path toward a showdown with the army in
the capital of Oslo. Spectacular sites on
film include the soaring Troll Wall in the
Trolltindane Mountains, the ord village of Flø,
the Gudbrandsdalen Valley and troll-themed
amusement park Hunderfossen.
