As I begin my term as CAS President and learn my way around, know that you can reach me with suggestions, feedback, etc., at: CASPresident@CinemaAudioSociety.org I'd like to welcome our new Board of Directors, which includes four new directors; Lindsey Alvarez CAS, Devendra Cleary CAS, Sara Glaser CAS, and Marc Fishman CAS. Others are returning to the Board, including former Presidents Richard Lightstone CAS and Mark Ulano CAS. I want to thank last term's Board members, other volunteers, and former President Karol Urban CAS MPSE for all of their efforts, especially the very successful CAS Awards ceremony, culminating with the presentation of our Career Achievement Award to Peter Devlin CAS. There is a lot of coverage in this issue of the Quarterly, including interviews with many of the award winners. As part of our run-up to next year's 60th anniversary CAS Awards ceremony, we've taken on the task of opening our archives to find great material from our 60 years as an organization. Please let us know if you have material from your participation with CAS or if there are things you hope to see. CAS is now partnering with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to film interviews with prominent sound mixers for potential presentation at the Academy Museum. These will join the growing number of interviews with members which we present via YouTube, podcasts, and social media. We look forward to future events, some with an industry focus and some just for social enjoyment. We plan to continue this effort with a worldwide focus. We will be asking what kind of things you'd like to see and offering other opportunities for feedback on member benefits, topics of industry importance, and ways in which you may want to get more involved in furthering the mission of CAS, especially in volunteering for some of the plans described above and many others. CAS is your organization. Member volunteers are very important, and you can help make it everything it can be. Thank you for your membership and I hope to see you soon! Peter F.
