Finally, Peter J. Devlin CAS was presented the Career Achievement Award by fellow production mixer Phil Palmer CAS, boom operator David Raymond, fellow AMPAS Governor Teri Dorman, and director Patty Jenkins. Devlin is not only a master in his craft but a lifelong student and mentor to others. While he is incredibly accomplished as a production sound mixer, his work in the community made this honor especially fitting and heartwarming. Devlin served many years on our Board of Directors, was recently elected as a Governor of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, has worked on more than 70 films, and has been nominated for five Oscars. The evening concluded with a final social hour, enjoying light fare and cocktails as guests snapped photos with friends, new and old.
