Graphics ---: Led by Karen Sori (pilot) and Carolyn Baumert (series), the graphics department of Minx faced a daunting task. Besides the usual demands of a period show (signage, advertising, menus and cards, small paperwork, vehicles and police cars, etc.) there was the additional task of producing the constantly changing background graphics of an office that is in the business of magazine graphics! Half-completed photo layouts and advertising sheets were forever being dressed into workstations and desk boards, with a goal of never seeing the same thing twice. If the camera wandered into the layout room, it needed to see another magazine presentation on the wall, to fill the otherwise blank spaces. Just acquiring enough cleared photography for these pages was a demanding proposition. The group, usually three designers but sometimes only two, performed admirably to keep on top of the work and meet deadlines that turned over every six days. A. BOTTOM DOLLAR PHOTO STUDIO.
