up the greens department and designed wonderful accents throughout the park, bringing in huge live trees to help round out the town layout, as well as giant boulders and desert cacti to give the drive-up entrance an appropriate feel. Amber and Jupe Park's offices were practically built inside the theater building at Jupiter's Claim; it worked best with the blocking of the scenes and enabled actors to remain all in one place to shoot the scenes from the exterior Main Street into the interiors. This minimized company moves by shooting most everything on the film's built locations, both at Haywood Ranch and Jupiter's Claim. With such ambitious builds, the production had to carefully structure the schedule. We shot Gordy's home first onstage (a complete build at Warner Bros., leaning into one of their older stages that was period-appropriate to our '90s TV set), moved over to Fry's Electronics in Burbank and then on up to Haywood Ranch. We shot that out almost entirely before a company move over to Jupiter's Claim down the road. This afforded the crew time to build out Jupiter's Claim while we were shooting Haywood, and Jordan and Hoyte were able to make site visits during lunch or after wrap. It also enabled us to build out over a longer period and keep our construction costs down. I was so fortunate to have Samantha Englender as the Supervising Art Director; she kept the whole ship running seamlessly and continued to entertain the constant new ideas being generated for the sets.
