Andy Kaplan (top) joins the studio as senior vice president of operations, while Peter Lin (bottom) comes onboard as director of finance. In his new role, Kaplan oversees all of Light Iron's operations and services, including dailies, offline rent- als and final color. He previously served as VP of pic- ture operations at Picture Shop and Technicolor, and prior to that, as head of production at Company 3. As director of finance, Lin now spearheads all of Light Iron's financial processes and works closely with the Panavision team as a conduit between the two brands. He previously held senior finance roles at Company 3 and Deluxe Entertainment Services Group, and brings a deep understanding of the post industry to his new position. CHARLES GAMBLE Okay Studio, the Dalston, UK-based company spe- cializing in offline editing, color grading, VFX and finishing, has signed editor Charles Gamble to its growing roster of talent. Since graduating from his studies of film, Gamble has lent his talents to spots for Nike and New Balance. He showcased his comedic timing for Old Spice's 2022 Webby award-winning Curls Are Cool, which was directed by Prettybird's Yousef. Beyond his commer- cial portfolio, Gamble has worked on Kai Blamey's short film Feel, and music videos for Aitch, Paloma Faith and Sam Fender. ISAAC IRVIN VFX supervisor Isaac Irvin is bringing his skills and artistry to VFX studio Carbon, which has offices in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. He has two decades of experience, having worked at studios such as Psyop and Method, and credits that span both commercials and feature films. Recently, he worked on an action-packed game trailer for Apex Legends Season 12, which involved creating many assets and environments, as well as animating and rendering 166 shots for the visceral, almost three-minute film. KEITH BUCKLEY Xytech, the Chatsworth, CA-based developer of resource management software for the media and broadcast industries, has appointed Keith Buckley as the company's new president and CEO. He succeeds company founder Richard Gallagher, who will now ad- vise Xytech's board, as envisioned when the company was acquired by Banneker Partners in December 2021. With Buckley at the helm, the move positions Xytech to significantly en- hance its commitment to product innovation and operational excellence. Buckley has been a leader of high-growth companies for private equity sponsors and international corporations across many tech industries, with a focus on media and network software and services. Most recently, he served as the CEO of Federos, an AI-optimized analytics and automation software solu- tions provider for complex networks that was recently sold to Oracle.
