I'm not sure when
work on children's
half-hour sitcoms
became perceived as
a simple job, perfect
for minimal-effort/
low-expectation designers who wanted a job where
they can be with their family and not work too hard...
or too late. Bright, flat colors. Flawed storylines.
Cheap jokes. Stereotypical multi-camera box sets
with chintzy couches. Bottom-of-the-budget-line
scenery with walls that shake when the doors slam
(which is always, because kids always slam doors).
Recycled drops. Recycled props. Recycled ideas.
As I think this article will
demonstrate, this is NOT
what we do on Henry
Danger!
