Meet our two-ton tahona stone. Once, all
tequila was made using the sheer weight
of the tahona. Eventually, most tequila
makers decided this painstakingly slow,
solid volcanic rock was not e cient
enough. But we have plenty of time,
because our goal is to create a tequila that
truly captures the intense character of the
blue agaves that grow on the land around
us. When we reach that goal, we call the
results "El Tesoro."
