SPRING 2016 | ADVOCATE 29 Association Governance Election District A Nidia Lias I've enjoyed every opportunity to participate in our association. It makes me feel empowered and full of resolve. Most of all, I really value the relationships I've built with everyone I've met along the way and the powerful work we've done together. Your vote would be an honor. Election District B Rachel Stafford As a state/local leader, I am honored to be your representative. The RA grants my ability to carry your voice to the national level, through activism, enthusiasm, and gracefulness. I thank you in advance for your confidence in me to represent you, our region, and state at the 2016 RA. Garald DeGrow I've been a member of the CEA and a site representative at Perry High since I began teaching. With your help, I look forward to the opportunity to represent all primary, middle, and secondary schools and associations within my district at the assembly. Your consideration is much appreciated. Thank you! Election District C Julie Cieniawski I look forward to receiving the opportunity to represent Election District C at my first NEA Representative Assembly. I take all of my professional responsibilities seriously and will work hard to make good decisions in the best interest of my Election District and State. I'd appreciate your vote. Mark DeGrow I've served on the AEA Board and as a local officer, building representative, and NEA-RA delegate. I'm committed to the democratic process and will actively participate in RA debate and decisions. I am a strong advocate or the needs and interests of education support professionals and teachers in my region. Election District D Joe Thomas Serving as your AEA Vice President requires additional responsibilities to carrying your voice to the national level. As a veteran leader I strive to inform Arizona delegates on the issues, orient new delegates to NEA RA procedures, and ensure everyone feels their voice is heard. I ask for your support. Election District E (2 Delegates) Paul Lowes I'm running again as a Region E candidate for the NEA-RA because we -association leaders throughout the state- are continuing to successfully create working alliances, statewide and nationally, with other education and community leaders, and I'd like to continue this direction, with your support. Maria Leyva A collective voice for educators is what is needed right now! I would be honored to represent the educators of AEA Election District E this year at the Representative Assembly where one can speak for the many that deserve to be heard. Thank you. Suzanne Tate No statement submitted Election District F Leah Knaeble The NEA-RA is an experience that allows public educators to listen, communicate, and act on issues relevant to Public Education Nationwide. The process is stimulating, eye opening, and engaging. I would love to be elected as your 2016 Regional Delegate. Thank you for your consideration and support. Election District G Chandra Beck My name is Chandra Beck and I would like to ask for your vote to be the Region G representative to the NEA-RA. This would be my second year as Region G representative. I have been a member of AEA for 15 years and my local for 13. Estevan Carreon Association positions held: NEA State Director; NEA Resolutions Committee; AEA Regional Director; AEA Compliance and Review Committee Chair; AEA Resolutions Committee Chair; GUEA President. Other Positions: 20 year special education teacher; Special Olympics coach; Unitown Director; Father. It would be a privilege to represent you at the 2016 NEA RA. Jennifer Dwosh My name is Jennifer Dwosh and I teach in the Madison School District. I want serve as your representative to the NEA-RA. As a member of MDCTA and eSWAG I work to represent the voices of my colleagues and, if elected, I will do the same at NEA-RA. Election District H Marisol Garcia A proud 8th grade Social Studies teacher, local president, and Region 6 director to the Board of Directors, I believe that I am a strong representative and leader of the AEA membership. I am the best candidate for delegate to NEA-RA. Katie DiTullio During my time as a member of Cartwright EA and AEA, I've previously been honored to represent CEA and our region at NEA- RA, been a member of AEA's and NEA's Elections Committees, and elected to CEA's Executive Board.
