INDUSTRY SPOTLIGHT APPOINTMENTS Actor Sam Neill of Central Otago's Two Paddocks Winery. Negociants USA adds Central Otago to New Zealand Offerings N egociants USA, importer of Australian and New Zealand wines, has partnered exclusively with Central Otago producer Two Paddocks. The familyowned estate winery, specializing in Pinot Noir, was founded by actor Sam Neill, who commented, "We are happy to be seen among the distinguished company in their handsome portfolio." Van Gogh Imports has announced the expansion of the company with the appointment of Joy Suchlicki Vicente as the Director of Marketing. In this newly created role, Vicente is responsible for branding, strategic planning, creative direction, programming Joy Suchlicki and the development of materials Vincente. for the Van Gogh Imports portfolio. A 21-year industry veteran, Vicente most recently ran her own consulting company where she specialized in brand development. The Trefethen Family has announced the promotion of Jon Ruel to President of Trefethen Family Vineyards in the Napa Valley. Ruel began at Trefethen as viticulturist in 2004 and in 2008 assumed responsibility for guiding the entire process from soil to bottle when he John Ruel. was appointed VP of Operations and Director of Viticulture and Winemaking. Ruel has two M.S. degrees: one in viticulture and enology and another in ecology.
