WDE and SBE Hold Accountability Outreach Summ The Wyoming Department of Education and the State Board of Education partnered this fall to offer regional summits throughout the state in order to update stakeholders on the Wyoming Accountability in Education Act. Two sets of informational meetings were held face-to-face in five regional sites, as well as online through the WDE's Blackboard Collaborate tool, in hopes of accommodating the largest number of interested stakeholders. The initial meetings held in late August included discussions on elements of the WAEA and were used as a means to gather insights from those who attended. The September 24-October 2 meetings, which have not yet occurred as of this writing, will be more focused in time and scope and will share the results of the Professional Judgment Panel (PJP) and explain how the decisions made by the PJP will impact individual schools. Stakeholder feedback will be recorded and shared with the SBE.
