GREAT THINGS HAPPEN EVERY DAY WEA ESPs Keep Skills Sharp Over The Summer For the seventh year, the Wyoming Public Transit Association sponsored its annual bus rodeo competition and workshop in Casper this summer, where drivers from Riverton, Cheyenne, Casper and Jackson competed. The bus rodeo takes place on one day of the bus driver convention, which offers trainings for drivers that many can't receive in their day-to-day operations. The competition puts class C and D transit drivers through different driving obstacle courses, as well as a written test. The Wyoming Highway Patrol Great Things Happen Every Day is sponsored by The rodeo and convention attracted a combination of new and veteran drivers. These events help attendees sharpen their driving skills, and also give folks a chance to network with others from around Wyoming and learn from each other how to perfect what they already do. 10 BACK TO SCHOOL 2013 BTS 2013.indd 10 | WEAnews 9/17/13 6:48 PM
