It's something comic books have been guilty of, mainly due to their history of being created by men for a young male audience. That has changed in recent years, and we at Marvel certainly wanted to be sensitive to those things in creating this film. So, I was so honored to take on that challenge with her costumed look. It was a joy to work alongside costume designer Sanja Hays, specialty costume maker Film Illusions and Legacy Effects in helping them to create the actual costumes and character looks. Then there's the amazing team of artists that took on the challenge of fleshing out the rest of the characters, such as the Skrulls and Starforce members. That is certainly one of my favorite parts of leading the department, I love working with so many talented artists that all have unique voices, presenting these ideas on paper (or the screen) to the directors and producers of these films is nothing but a joy. A big shout-out goes to my team on this film—Jackson Sze, Anthony Francisco, Ian Joyner, Tully Summers, Stephen Schirle and Adam Ross. I'm entering my tenth year here at Marvel Studios and it's surreal. As a fan, I never could have dreamt that we would be able to experience a decade of films that have introduced fan favorites A C B D A.
