This issue features two examples of ADG members who have extended their design skills into the characters that inhabit the film's environments. Senior Illustrator Andy Park has been with Marvel Studios for over a decade, and has been the Director of Visual Development since Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. He is involved in every aspect of the character, beginning with the costumes, but also including hair, makeup, the props they work with and sometimes the worlds they inhabit. His work combines both the practical and CGI realms that are often used to create the final character. One of the attractions of Godzilla: King of the Monsters for Production Designer Scott Chambliss was the opportunity to lead the redesign of the monsters HULU themselves, particularly the ones not seen in recent decades, and applying the skills used in creating worlds into the redevelopment of these title creatures. The practices of visual storytelling used to define their world were extended into the design of the major characters. A.
