given me throughout my time here at UWYO. SWEA has taught me countless things about my future in the classroom and how to help students succeed. SWEA has also given me leadership positions that I would not have had elsewhere. I am looking forward to continuing to grow as a leader and an educator in the future as I transition into WEA." As we say goodbye to our current members who are leaving to student teach, we are looking forward to a great Spring 2019 semester! We plan on participating in many events within the community. Many of our members read to the lab school students for Dr. Seuss' birthday during March. We are also planning to create our own Relay for Life team, host a Parents Literacy Night Out, and do many fundraising events at our own local restaurants in Laramie. In the future, we hope to continue providing professional development opportunities along with legislative knowledge to our members in order for them to grow as educators. Within the National Education Association comes many great benefi ts to further our members development, therefore, we hope to give back to them and continue utilizing their amazing service. We continue looking ahead into another great year with outstanding members, goals, visions, and services. The second P, Political Action, is addressed with visits from current legislative members in Wyoming who update and inform us on the current standings of our education legislature. The third P, Public Service, is our favorite mission because we get to give back to the community. These three P's guide our activities and help us develop into outstanding educators. During the fall of 2018, our focus was on the development of new membership and preparing our current members for student teaching. Our SWEA Vice President Alanna Reid, senior at the University of Wyoming, wanted to share her thoughts: "In a little less than a month, I will be student teaching at Lander Middle School in an 8th grade mathematics classroom. I am extremely thankful for the experience that the Student Wyoming Education Association has
