A F I P R O D U C T I O N D E S I G N S H O W C A S E | P E R S P E C T I V E 3 1 David Lawrence S E C O N D Y E A R F E L L O W Robert Aguirre S E C O N D Y E A R F E L L O W Robert Aguirre received his bachelor of science in television, film and new media production from San Diego State University in fall 2014. After graduation, he found success in the commercial and editorial realms and has worked with many notable companies, such as Chick-fil-A, Disney, Matchbox, Mattel, Nintendo, Qualcomm, Sony, Vanity Fair and Wired magazine. Just before he came to AFI, he was an Art Department assistant for the NBC show The Good Place. David Lawrence is a designer, filmmaker, writer and musician. After graduating from the College of William and Mary in 2006 with a BA in film studies and American modernism, he began his career in short film story development at Walt Disney Studios and Humble Journey Films. In 2010, he produced Disney Shot Kennedy, a feature-length film that had a successful festival run.
