Editors Dave Herman, Ed McGowan and David Bruce Bates Jr., have joined The Now Corporation in NYC for spot, music video and long form projects. Herman was senior editor at TBWA\Chiat\Day, and has also worked at Crew Cuts, Jump Editorial, Version 2 and as a freelancer. McGowan spent six years as senior in-house edi- tor at McCann Erickson's PostOp, working on projects for Staples, Chex, Sony, Verizon FiOS, Avis and Intel. Bates directs and shoots, as well as edits. His credits include work for IBM, Capital One, Puma, K-Swiss, Starburst, JetBlue and MSN. PAUL VITOLINS Paul Vitolins has joined Bang Music in New York as a senior recording engineer and sound designer. His principal focus will be on television programming, film and digital content. Vitolins will work at Bang's audio post studio at Post Facto- ryNY in SoHo, as well as at the company's main facility on 18th Street. He brings a depth of recording, editing and mixing experience to his new position having worked at Gray Martin Stu- dios in LA, as well as independently. His credits include work on both scripted and reality pro- gramming for NBC, HBO, FX, MTV and TLC. VITOLINS TED BRADY FotoKem's Keep Me Posted in Burbank, spe- cializing in the finishing of episodic TV, promos, spots and trailers, has added colorist Ted Brady to the in-house roster. Brady brings nearly three decades of experience working on broadcast and film projects. Brady began as a producer and film editor, and then quickly segued into color timing, working at Mad Old Nut, LaserPacific, 1080 and Creative Post & Transfer. His credits includes work on Arrested Development, Weeds, Nickelodeon's How to Rock and Big Time Rush, and ABC Family's The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Greek. HARPER BILLY HARPER Verbatim Studios in NYC has hired sound mixer Billy Harper, who comes from CityVox. He brings almost two decades of experience editing and mastering for videogames, as well as knowledge of voice recording and engineering. Prior to his time at CityVox, Harper spent sev- eral years working with Photomag and National Recording. JAMES COLLINS Manhattan-based VFX boutique Light of Day has hired James Collins as director of 3D. Prior to joining the studio, Collins was a designer and CG director at Nice Shoes. He is a versatile artist with extensive 3D experience, including four years leading the CG department at Click 3X. His background ranges from design and animation to lighting and compositing. J BARBUSH Santa Monica-based ad agency RPA has pro- moted 17-year employee J Barbush from VP, associate creative director to VP, creative social media director. In this new role, Barbush will oversee all social media work for the agency's roster of clients. He recently helmed Honda's presence on Pinterest with the CR-V "Leap List- themed" Pintermission campaign. At RPA, Bar- bush has worked on projects for clients such as Acura, VH1's Behind the Music, Discovery Chan- nel and Mandalay Bay. TYLER ROTH Company 3 Chicago has added colorist Tyler Roth to its team. His commercial resume includes work for Crystal Light, McDonald's, Walmart, KFC, and Fosters. He has also graded music videos and portrait pieces for Chicago artists R. Kelly, Jeff Tweedy of Wilco and Andrew Bird. Roth is currently collaborating with Joe Hahn of Linkin Park on an upcoming feature. He graduated with double major in film and animation technolo- gy from Northwestern.
