In his new role, MacKenzie strategically plans all aspects of marketing and communications for new and existing product lines. His responsibilities will include branding execution, augmenting market- ing collateral for the region, media planning and buying, event planning and artist relations. He previously held marketing positions with QSC Audio, Allen & Heath, KRK and Cerwin Vega. RICK ANTHONY With facilities in Hollywood, New York City and New Orleans, Light Iron (member of the Panavision family) has appointed Rick Anthony to the newly-created role of GM at its New York facility. The addition comes after Light Iron add- ed a second floor in 2016 to triple its inventory of editorial suites. Anthony previously held GM roles at Pac Lab and New York Lab/Postworks/Moving Images, overseeing teams from lab through digital workflows. He began his career at New York's semi- nal film lab, DuArt, where he was a technical supervisor for many years. KATE PHILLIPS Framestore has appointed Kate Phillips as head of production in its Montreal location. In her new role, Phillips will support the work of the production teams and manage the overall delivery of all VFX for feature film projects coming through the facility. Phillips had previously held positions with Double Negative and Baseblack, working on such titles as The Bourne Ultimatum, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Parts 1 and 2), Snow White and the Huntsman, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. KARIN LEVINSON The Artery in New York City is expanding its operations to Los Angeles, naming industry vet- eran Karin Levinson as its head of features and television content. Levinson will helm the new LA office, spearheading new business initiatives across the mediums of film, television, advertis- ing, virtual reality and augmented reality. Prior to joining the creative studio, Levinson served as the VP of marketing and content development at Eclipse, and di- rector of marketing and new business development at Ant Farm. Earlier, she had been the EVP, features & television, at Artemple — Hollywood, during which time she worked on HBO's series Vinyl, Warner Bros.'s film Entourage and New Line Cinema's War Dogs. AURÉLIEN TEURLAI New York City production and post studio Nice Shoes has signed lead beauty artist Aurélien Teurlai for exclusive representation in North America. Teurlai, who is based in Paris, has collaborated with Europe's top directors, including Bruno Aveillan and Marcus, as well as Jean-Baptiste Mondino on spots for Dior starring Jennifer Lawrence, Charlize Theron and Natalie Portman. His skills also include VFX and compositing, contributing to pieces for luxury brands such as Peugeot, Cartier, BMW and Lexus. CHRIS KURSEL New York City editorial shop Bandit, formerly known as Fluid, has added editor Chris Kursel to its roster. Kursel is a polished editor with over a decade of experience cutting spots for top brands, including Google, Starbucks, Twitter, Cadillac, American Express, Verizon Wireless and Samsung, among others. He comes to Bandit after a six-year stint at Lost Planet, where he worked on national campaigns for top agency clients including Wieden+Kennedy, 72andSunny, mcgarrybowen, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and others. ANDREW DECRISTOFARO, BECKY SULLIVAN, VICTOR ENNIS Los Angeles' Technicolor Sound welcomes a trio of Oscar-nominated supervising sound editors to their team — Andrew DeCristofaro, Becky Sullivan (both pictured) and Victor Ennis. DeCristofaro (Oscar nominated for Unbroken, Ghostbusters, Iron Man 3), Sullivan (Oscar nominated for Unbroken, The Big Short, Zookeeper's Wife) and Victor Ennis (Oscar nominated for Drive, Prometheus, the upcoming film It) bring strong relationships with Paramount, Universal, New Line and Fox, while furthering the Technicolor culture where the best technology is leveraged by the most talented people. The additions mark a continual improvement of Technicolor's sound package and end-to-end post solutions, and increase Technicolor's supervising sound editor roster to nine. JEROME DEWHURST Burbank, CA's Roundabout Entertainment wel- comes Jerome Dewhurst to its technical staff as chief color scientist. Dewhurst will oversee and man- age the color pipeline for the facility's growing digi- tal intermediate and color correction operations, and set best practices for color company-wide. He will also lead research efforts to develop new software, technologies and services related to color manage- ment. Dewhurst brings nearly 20 years of experience as a color scientist and imaging engineer to Roundabout, having served as a freelance color consul- tant and software developer. He also spent six years as an imaging engineer at Framestore, London, where he worked on such films as The Dark Knight and Casino Royale.
