Zariwny, DIR DGA Residuals Processing Administrator Kathy Wong Passes Away On March 23, 2017, longtime DGA Residuals Processing Administrator Kathy Wong passed away unexpectedly. In a message to the DGA staff announcing the diffi cult news, National Executive Director Jay D. Roth noted, "This comes as a shock to all of us who have worked with Kathy during her 10-year tenure at the Guild. She was a dedicated colleague, a caring boss, and a good friend, and it will take some time for all of us to process this loss… All of us who worked with her over the years will miss her." Wong oversaw the DGA's Residuals Processing Department which is responsible for logging, processing and distributing hundreds of millions of dollars in residuals every year for DGA directors and members of the directorial team. During her tenure, she helped implement a number of service-oriented and technological advancements that improved residuals processing on behalf of the DGA's more than 16,500 members. Wong was well liked and widely respected by Guild members, her staff and colleagues, and her counterparts from across the industry.
