Each EDD office staff's specialty trained Veteran Employment Representatives who provide one-on-one assistance with applications, job interviews, and vocational guidance. With their assistance, you can learn about veteran workshops, training, and other services that may be available. They are ready to give you the priority service you deserve. Veterans receive premier, priority of education, training, career counseling, and support services via a distinctly qualified staff of Veterans. Veterans Initiative Program (VIP) All AJCCs provide Veterans access to the following free services: • Intake/Assessment • Personalized Career Consultation and Planning • Job Training and Placement • On-The-Job Training • Job Retention Services • Information and Referral Services The VIP is a veterans' employment program offered in all WorkSource Centers and is specifically designed to help vets secure employment through our community partners. If a veteran wants to return to school our VIP can help. We maintain a working relationship with the Los Angeles Community College District, University of California and California State University systems.
