That emotional through-line is reinforced when
Sameer surprises Mo with a handmade collage
book documenting their family's timeline. It
was my favorite prop of the season. (I am a bit
nerdy about collage art and archival design.) The
book took nearly the entire season to curate and
was designed by artist James Ferraro from Local
484. James also fabricated Mo's falafel cart from
scratch, with custom display sections sunk into
a vintage bicycle cart Kevin had sourced from
Mexico City on a previous show.
