As soon as lockdowns eased and we were able to be on site, Supervising Art Director Stéphane Cressend, working with our Spanish construction team led by José Altit, started mocking-up the main structures and mountains with scaffolding and tarps. Luckily, the layout proved that our plans worked for the most part. The only major change was the long mountain ridge behind the motel and luncheonette was far too close. We had to push it further away and make it taller to compensate. Luckily, this was still possible at this stage of the build. Families had broken the land up over the generations and now some were tiny slivers. Producer Jeremy Dawson and the location team worked with each family to secure the parcels one by one.
