1 0 6 P E R S P E C T I V E | J A N U A R Y / F E B R U A R Y 2 0 2 4 N E W S Creative Arts Emmy Winners 2023 B Y D AV I D M O R O N G , E D I T O R The 2023 Creative Arts Emmys were presented over two evenings on January 6 and 7 at the Peacock Theater at LA Live in Downtown Los Angeles. The strike-delayed event, originally scheduled to be held last September, honored outstanding artistic and technical achievement, primarily focused on the many crafts involved in television production. The Production Design awards were spread across the two ceremonies, with Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities, Wednesday, Only Murders in the Building, The Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show and Saturday Night Live all being recognized for outstanding design work. An edited version of the shows aired on FXX the following January 13, and extensive coverage, including images and videos of some of the highlights, can be found at www.emmys.com. In a separate earlier event, the 2nd Annual Children's & Family Creative Arts Emmys took place on Saturday, December 16, at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, where The Mysterious Benedict Society won the award for Outstanding Art Direction/Set Decoration/Scenic Design.
