In the Fall 2020 issue of MPSE Wavelength, I wrote "The Story of THE
WILHELM SCREAM," a comprehensive piece on the notorious sound
effect. It's hard to believe the amount of attention that scream recording
has received over the years, and that it is still heard in new productions—
including the recent releases
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and
Teenage Mutant Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.
