O R G Charles Maynes MPSE Traveling the Silk Road with Pavel Doreuli; Niall Brady: Jack of All Trades… Better Than Master of One Charles Maynes is a working sound designer and sound editor and is a member of the MPSE Board of Directors. His recent work includes the Paramount+/CBS dramatic series Seal Team. M PS E CO N T R I B U TO R S Steve Lee, THSM Founder The Wilhelm Scream Steve Lee has been creating and archiving sound effects for over 30 years, and has also performed vocal effects for dozens of projects. He hosts webinars and other programs for The Hollywood Sound Museum, a nonprofit dedicated to sharing the craft of entertainment audio. Eric Marks MPSE Gears of War with Jamey Scott Eric is the founder of Transported Audio, a post-production sound studio in Los Angeles. He has supervised projects for Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney, EA, as well as countless trailers and commercials. He is a member of the MPSE Board of Directors, where his work has been nominated for five Golden Reel Awards. Javier Quesada MPSE Film Sound as Sign: Sound as a Channel for the Symbolic Javier Quesada was born on February 3, 1981, in Mexico City. In 2008, he graduated from SAE Barcelona where he studied the audio engineering program. In 2021, he finished his MA in Professional Practice (Film Sound Postproduction) in SAE London. In his career in post production, Javier has always searched for projects that present a challenge in their use of sound as a narrative tool. In 2019, he received the Golden Reel Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing for his work on Alfonso Cuaron's Roma. Peter Albrechtsen MPSE Listening Through the Heart's Ears Peter Albrechtsen is a Danish sound design- er, re-recording mixer and music supervisor working on both Scandinavian and inter- national feature films and documentaries. Recent credits include Evil Dead Rise, the acclaimed indie film The Killing of Two Lovers and the Oscar-nominated documentaries A House Made of Splinters and The Cave. He is a member of the MPSE Board of Directors and has been nominated for seven Golden Reel Awards. Brent Findley MPSE Murat Celikkol Brent Findley is an award winning supervising sound editor for film and television projects including Apple TV+'s Ted Lasso, NBC's The Good Place and A Parks and Recreation Spe- cial. He is on the Board of the Motion Picture Sound Editors, a member of the Editor's Guild Emerging Technology committee and the MPSE Artificial Intelligence Committee. Perry La Marca MPSE Graeme Stewart The Interview Perry is a member of the Board of Directors of the MPSE. A film and television composer, he also teaches the media scoring courses at California State University, Long Beach. Some of his scoring credits include Big Hero 6: The Series, The Sarah Silverman Program and arrangements of award-winning songs featured in Nickelodeon's Penguins of Madagascar, just to name a few. Jenny Ward MPSE (Sound) Designing a Legacy Jenny Ward is an Australian sound editor whose work has been recognised with many national and international nominations and awards. In 2016, she was inducted as a Life Member of the Australian Screen Editors Guild (which she co-founded), and received the prestigious Gold Honour Badge from the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance (Australia's film union) in 2017. Jenny continues to proudly advocate for her colleagues as a Board member of the Motion Picture Industry Benevolent Society. Korey Pereira MPSE Johnnie Burn Mad Scientist (of Sound) Korey is the founder of Soularity Sound, a post-production sound company based in Austin, Texas. He also works with Soundcrafter and other Austin-based crews. Editorial credits include works directed by Richard Linklater, Robert Rodriguez, and David Gordon Green, among many others. Recently, he updated his studio to support Dolby Atmos mixing and has expanded into 360 spatial audio for VR. Since 2018, Korey has also been a lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin, Department of Radio, Television and Film, where he teaches post sound.
