The ADG saluted the husband-and-wife team of filmmaker Baz Luhrmann and Production Designer/costume designer Catherine Martin with the Cinematic Imagery Award for their many contributions to the artform, including The Great Gatsby and the current Academy Award-nominated film Elvis. The award was presented by actress Nicole Kidman, who starred in their films Moulin Rouge! and Australia. Academy Award-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro received the esteemed William Cameron Menzies Award for his numerous legendary movies, including Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy, Nightmare Alley, and the current Academy Award- nominated Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio. The award is given to filmmakers who create unique visual worlds and exercise innovative storytelling techniques, displaying strong collaboration with their contributing designers.
