TRANSPORTED AUDIO LAUNCHES NEW MUSIC DIVISION NORTH BURBANK, CA — Transported Audio (www.transportedaudio.com), the full-service audio post facility, has expanded its business with the recent launch of a new music division. The new venture comes in response to in- creasing demand from clients for premium-quality, multi-genre original and customized music. Founded by Eric Marks, Transported Audio has worked with Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu, FX, NFL Network, EA and PlayStation. The new music division is being headed up by composer Daniel Berk, who has worked on film, television, trailer and commercial projects. Berk has composed in a wide range of styles, running the gamut from intimate acoustic to modern cinematic. He has a par- ticular passion for writing trailer and advertisement music. After beginning his career writing music for short films and networks that include Fox, ABC, NBC, CBS, A&E and Discovery, he's gone on to amass more than 75 credits, work- ing on a wide range of commercial projects and recent features for Netflix, Amazon, Vudu and Lionsgate. "Music is the emotional through-line of nearly every story and an essential component of an audience's overall audio experience, so adding original music to our menu of audio post production services is the natural next step of our studio's evolution," Marks explains. "Daniel's considerable talents as a compos- er and arranger, as well as his stylistically-varied list of industry credits, make him the perfect choice to spearhead our music division, and I'm confident our clients will be every bit as impressed with him as I am." "By adding music to the company's diverse range of services, clients will be afforded the opportunity to have all of their audio needs taken care of un- der one roof, thereby making their post production experience as seamless, time-effective and creatively fulfilling as possible," adds Berk. "My heartfelt thanks to Eric for this exciting opportunity, and I look forward to a long and rewarding association with Transported Audio and its valued clients for many years to come." BITS & PIECES MPA'S TRUSTED PARTNER NETWORK BOLSTERS CONTENT-SECURITY EFFORT LOS ANGELES — The Motion Picture Association's Trusted Partner Network (TPN) has launched its enhanced program, which includes a new membership model, application and cloud content security assessments, and the TPN+ plat- form. TPN (www.ttpn.org) is leveraging the MPA's updated Content Security Best Practices V.5.0 to expand its scope to include software applications and cloud security, in addition to site and work-from-home security assessments. With this expansion and the launch of the new TPN+ platform, TPN is bolster- ing its program to keep pace with rapid change and evolution throughout the media and entertainment industry. TPN serves as a community network and source of truth that centralizes communication of content security preparedness for content owners and ser- vice providers in an industry where supply chains from script to screen contin- ue to grow in complexity. TPN's new membership model is tiered to encourage participation from all global stakeholders, ranging from individual contributors to large-scale pre- and post production companies, software application pro- viders and all content owners. The new TPN+ platform is custom-built for member companies to manage and communicate content security status, including non-TPN security certifi- cates, such as ISO and Soc2, as well as complete TPN questionnaires and as- sessments based on the MPA Content Security Best Practices and guidelines. "Making the user experience as streamlined as possible means that content owners and service providers will use the platform on a consistent basis," states Jan van Voorn, executive vice president and chief of global content protection with MPA, as well as head of the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE). "If we can stop content leaks this early in the creative process, the likelihood of a content owner's intellectual property ending up on an illegal operator's platform is diminished." "At MPA and TPN, our goal is to support content creators from script to screen," adds Terri Davies, president of TPN. "This new iteration of the TPN program is a huge leap forward in providing an enhanced solution. TPN is designed for all companies in the media and entertainment ecosystem who are committed to keeping content safe. We very much look forward to continued collaboration with our service provider and content owner members, as well as our assessor partners, as we maintain forward momentum to keep pace with the rapid transformation and technology advancements in our industry." The TPN+ platform provides standardization, expanded functionality, greater flexibility and multi-layered transparency of security status to global content owners. The new platform unlocks self-serve functionality for service providers to communicate their content security status in a centralized and accelerated manner, resulting in enhanced visibility to content owners, overall time savings and a reduction in duplicative assessment efforts. For content owners, TPN+ provides guidance that enables independent and informed decision-making. The new platform achieves this with a simplified process of assessing service provider partners' security preparedness to ensure content is secure throughout the media supply chain. www.postmagazine.com 9 POST JAN/FEB 2023 MPA's Jan van Voorn TPN's Terri Davies
