While Deborah's bedroom and office are unchanged, Deborah's dressing room got an extensive remodel. Designed and decorated in season one by Jon Carlos and Ellen Dorros, season two replaces the elegance and class of Deborah's dressing room for the ostentatious street/ pop art aesthetic of 'MC Ludwig.' We wanted it to feel as if the Palmetto did a quick flip, stripping out all the soft goods and furniture, leaving the architecture with a fresh coat of black paint, giving MC Ludwig a fresh canvas for some questionable aesthetic decisions. We incorporated hundreds of feet of LED neon throughout the set which would reflect off a newly polished concrete floor. We wanted to leave some subtle hints of Deborah's time there, so we painted over the iconic vanity wallpaper leaving just the texture. Jen and I explored NFT and contemporary pop/street art for the overall aesthetic. Evan designed MC Ludwig's "W" logo which was mounted above the vanity, and a cyclops pop-art motif was explored by Jen. My favorite subtle details of set dressing are the whippets on the coffee table and the banana/peach neons on either side of the "hookup" bed that replaced Deborah's table and chairs. Sorry Jon, we "ruined" your masterpieceā€¦ ADG E G F
