Thoughout our fifteen years together, Rachael and I have shared many experiences that we call "nostalgia in the present," those transcendental blissful moments one never forgets. I asked her for one standout moment on DWD. Rachael Ferrara: "After pulling off our first big dress at the Victory Clubhouse in Palm Springs, we celebrated outdoors with beers and pizza. The set dressers had to move so much damn pool furniture and meticulously swap out cabana covers in the hot desert sun. The next day, on their day off, those tired set dressers then tested out a custom float made by the talented Jessica Owen. It was truly such a pleasure to work alongside such a FUN, talented and hardworking crew (Jorge Rodriguez, Alexia Lee, Zach Gulla, Noelle Pinola, Chris Scharffenberg, Hugo Baltazar and Manny Rosario to mention a few)." The Props Within the film, the world of Victory is designed by one man; Frank. This cohesive vision extends to the props. The prop master Josh Bramer and I referenced the way that Alexander Girard is known to have the paid special attention to details like cutlery when he designed the Santa Fe restaurant, The Compound. Josh contributed his understanding of this cohesion: Josh Bramer: "The community would all shop at Sew Lovely [the boutique]. The cookware, their glassware, their dishes. It's a one-stop shop! A live 'in-person catalog.' It's anybody's dream of a shopping experience. I loved getting to tie it into the shopping bags and hat boxes with the logo that Alex [Maziekien] created." A Safe Process Because art, set decoration and props had to work remotely as much as possible, we used Slack to F. DINNER SET FOR ALICE'S INTERROGATION OF FRANK.
