She's got good relationships with all the film councils. But especially for this project, she's got a great depth of knowledge and passion for the history, the authenticity, and the environmental circumstances that this shoot specifically had requirements for in terms of locations." CALL OF THE WILD "Instantly, by where the story was set, there is just a certain look there in Essex—and it's this incredible backdrop of tidal saltmarsh and estuaries," says Lawrence. "It's very flat and very changeable in its look at various states of the tide. There's almost automatically a look that comes to mind if you're familiar with the geography and with the architecture of that sort of place. I think Essex has sort of a reputation to most people as being very urban and very built up, but these bits were really wild."
