Or simply that it costs more, and therefore must be bet- ter than the rest? As a former wine buyer, I could talk for hours about the subtle differences between two bottlings of Pinot Noir. On the other hand, my knowledge of distilled beverages had always relied heavily on the branding of the product rather than its taste. When I sat down with Tad Dorda of Chopin Vodka, I honestly did not know what made Chopin different from other luxury vodkas.
